 About the artist: Gustav Klimt was a member of the Austrian Secession, a pioneer of contemporary art with an irresistible decorative Jugendstil.

Below, three women also bow their heads—in prayer or possibly mourning.  Originally named Vision, this painting was later renamed Hope II because of its similarities to another of Klimt's works, Hope I.
