“For me, art can reflect the celebration of the simple and good things in life. This is most important to me!”  Romero Britto creates a completely new expression that reflects his optimistic faith in the world around him. Britto lived an extremely modest lifestyle while growing up amongst eight brothers and sisters in Reclife Brazil. However his innate creativity allowed him to fill his life with vibrant colour and images of a beautiful world. Britto travelled to Europe in 1983 to examine firsthand the Art of the masters.After exhibiting in a few galleries, he was encouraged to travel to the United States where Pop Art was flourishing. His joyful themes, vivid imagery and use of bold graphic detailing has made iconic pop-artist Romero Britto one of the most recognizable and popular artists in the world.
